Q1. What is the difference between this App and Interlockens Adding Machine: 10 Key Calc in the App. Store?
A1. Both calculators are single-column adding devices. Both have iPad versions with full-size (1:1) keyboards. Accountant Calculator supports the free chaining of +, -, x, /, %, √, 1/x and is easier to use if you are not familiar with how a 10-key works, while Adding Machine: 10 Key Calc uses inverted number/operator entry, the same as a 10 Key adding machine, commonly used by Accountants and CPAs.

Q2. Can I touch-type?
A2. Checkout the iPad version with its large (1:1) keypad and several aids for touch-typing.

Q3. How can I quickly clear the paper tape?
A3. Just double-tap the round i (info) button to clear the paper tape.

Q4. How can I edit an incorrect number or add & delete lines from the paper tape?
A4. Touch any line of the paper tape to go into edit mode. Touch Add or Delete Line. You can also edit numbers, and split Add/Sub or Mul/Div groups. Press Done to return to Calculator mode

Q5. Tell me about Email, Printing, and Exporting a Paper Tape.
A5. From the Export dialog, select from: Email, Print, Copy or Open-In. Email includes a pdf attachment. Print requires an AirPrint capable printer. Open-In will cause a menu of 3rd party Apps to appear that can receive a hardcopy of your paper tape; for example, iBooks, DropBox, and 3rd party printer Apps for Brother, HP, Epson, Canon and more. With these print directly to a network reachable printer (even if it is NOT AirPrint capable).

I just bought this app. It seems well-designed, and I like the sharing and PDF options. Those sold me. But when I used the app, I was surprised that the sound effects were so lame. I expected a traditional adding machine sound, but instead it gives me a little "beep" like a Casio watch. If you are going to use realism in your user experience, as this developer has done, then complete the picture by providing realistic traditional sounds. Happily this can be corrected with an update, and I encourage the developer to do so. It should be easy to get a recording of a real adding machine in action.

The calculator is just as good as the normal accounting calculator. Only thing lacking is that it does not give a landscape view on the iPhone.

I needed a calculator with a tape to add totals from invoices. If I make a mistake its easy to fix. Im not an accountant but I like this app, well worth the $.

Stable,User friendly, love its many features such as Email options, file saving etc.

This calculator makes it real easy to efficiently work with numbers. You can easily check your work and correct errors. It eliminates the doubt and resulting recalculations, when a simple adjustment is all that is required. Well laid out and easy to learn. Plenty of help within the app.

When I first downloaded this app, I couldnt get sound to work. I sent an email to the authors and I have to say that I have never had such great feedback in my life. They worked with me until they got the bug fixed. All this help for an inexpensive app. I was and still am, very impressed. Great job!

Some bad moments

Keyboard is brilliant but you will not be able to select - number of decimals displayed - type of rounding - or the ability to register numbers as positive or negative entities (ie. 123+ 2- =121)

Some things dont work, such as double tap to clear. Ambiguous layout/functioning. Basically a very frustrating app, that I have already deleted.

This app is absolutely a waste of time as practically nothing works as per the instructions and the display changes and doesnt refresh correctly. Absolutely terrible, I would like money back on this one. Ipad user!

This is not a true adding machine. It functions as a calculator.... There is a difference!
